Who We Are

Revolve CC is part of encouraging a vibrant, supportive, and collaborative community of creatives in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Our mission is to energize the sustainable growth of our creative community by centering the exploration of broad creative topics, the vitality of collaboration, and opportunities for quality connections that include underrepresented groups. By working together, we can make Michigan’s Upper Peninsula home to a robust, sustainable creative class, enriching our own community and beyond.

Our Mission

Three core beliefs:

  • First, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is home to many talented creatives who enrich our community in myriad ways. Marquette is growing, and a robust, sustainable creative community contributes to the cultural richness of our region and is an essential part of our well-being and cultural identity as we move into the future.
  • Second, creatives often have a variety of interests and skill sets; although many specialize, broad interests and explorations are part of creative growth. Revolve CC provides programming, resources, and opportunities for creatives of all disciplines, including visual arts, performing arts, music, tech, and writing and related topics that enrich individual and community evolution.
  • Third, collaboration is a vital part of creative practice and the healthy communities. The synergy of shared ideas, skills and workload brings visions to life. By promoting accessibility and inclusivity, we actively seek to include underrepresented groups in our community and provide programming our community doesn’t always have the opportunity to engage with.

We believe that a strong creative community enriches our entire region, that variety and collaboration are essential ingredients in this, and that collaboration means everyone should have the opportunity to participate and contribute in meaningful ways. These values are demonstrated through deliberate planning, consistent exploration, and sincere relationship development as we curate each year’s Revolve CC.

How we do this: Inspiration, Practical Skills, Community Connection

  • Keynote Speakers come from around the country (and beyond) to inspire attendees, give insider information on their own process and a current perspective on broader creative industries. They are experienced professionals, who have worked on projects that are household names, and represent evolution in their fields.
  • Breakout sessions platform our local creators, giving our attendees a better picture of projects and opportunities closer to home and are often interactive and/or add to the practical skills of our attendees.
  • Networking events are catalysts of community connection, planting the seeds of collaboration and relationships that lead to sustainable growth.

Inclusion and Disability

Revolve CC is committed to maintaining an environment that demonstrates the values and visions of the organization, and promotes speakers, guests, and volunteers who exemplify the diverse tapestry that is the Midwest.

Our group also strives to create a barrier-free experience for those differently-abled. Please contact us or provide more information in your registration if you need accommodations, and we will try to the best of our ability to serve. We are constantly at work to make our conference available to everyone.
