If you’ve never mapped out an access and inclusion plan for your creative business, this is the time and the place to get started! Disabled artist Gaelynn Lea will lead you through an exercise to identify ways you can make your creative business more accessible and welcoming to disabled folx. This isn’t about the legal bare minimum, it’s about finding creative access solutions and getting excited about Disability Culture as an entrepreneur!

We will share strategies that have worked for us in the past, discuss potential barriers, and look for ways around them. We will talk about holistic inclusion—inclusion that takes into account programming, team-building, outreach and leadership.

Gaelynn will send each roundtable participant home with a Disability Inclusion Toolkit so they have a jumping-off point when they get back to the office. She will also share information about the Great Lakes ADA Center, which provides free training, information, and technical assistance on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to help businesses and employers achieve voluntary ADA compliance.
