Co-hosted by Innovate Marquette SmartZone, Invent@NMU, and the City of Marquette’s Office of Arts & Culture, Rapid Resources is a business crash course for creative professionals.

Following an interactive approach, this breakout session will equip artists and entrepreneurs with resources to help launch or expand their businesses. Participants will move from station to station in a speed networking-style event. At each station, participants will meet with a local entrepreneurial or artist support representative to hear advice on topics that range from forming your business and securing funds to marketing your product or service and growing your team.

Participants who visit each station will be entered into a drawing for the chance to win a complimentary “Validation” package with Innovate Marquette ($150 value).

Validation is a service offered by Innovate Marquette. A crucial step within the innovation process, Validation is an in-depth series of discussions that yields a “Business Profile” document to articulate your product or business idea, identify the problem being solved, and explore the competitive landscape.

Innovate Marquette works closely with Invent@NMU, a program of Northern Michigan University. Invent@NMU student employees gain real-world experience working with local entrepreneurs and business owners with the guidance and mentorship of the Innovate Marquette team. Together, the Innovate Marquette and Invent@NMU team guides entrepreneurs through the Validation process.
